From the Pastor's Desk 2/25/2022

This Sunday is Transfiguration Sunday, when a handful of disciples see Jesus changed into glory. They don't know what to do with this vision - it's outside the realm of their imagination. God does that to us occasionally, shows us a vision we cannot begin to comprehend until later. Before he was "the Apostle Paul," a man named Saul had a similar encounter with Christ in all his glory. But it wasn't until Ananias came to him that Paul could see clearly. And it changed his life. We may not have a dramatic conversion story like Paul's. Maybe our story is more like Ananias' experience. Join us on Sunday or online to worship together as God's people, and hear - as Paul Harvey used to say - "the rest of the story..."

Mark your calendars now for Palm Sunday, April 10th, when we will change things up a bit - worship will be at 10:30, following Sunday School at 9:30, so we can follow worship with a Palm Sunday Potluck celebration! Who might you invite to worship with you that day?

We continue to monitor the COVID cases in Kandiyohi County, and it has been a relief this week to watch those numbers decrease! But we are not out of the woods yet. Please continue to practice safety around others. Face masks are available in the narthex if you need one.

We mourn with the family of Betty Schow, who died on Tuesday. The funeral will be at the church this Saturday, February 26th, at 11:30 AM, preceded by a one-hour visitation. There is no luncheon or reception following the service.
