From the Pastor's Desk 5.20.2022

We rejoice with the Confirmation Class of 2022 this Sunday: Matthew Friesen, Hazelee Hettver, Bryce Morton, and Travis Venenga. This Sunday is also Aldersgate Sunday, remembering the day John Wesley experienced the assurance of his own salvation when his "heart was strangely warmed." Join us after worship in Fellowship Hall for cake to celebrate!

Next week, Diane Swanson and I will attend Annual Conference Session in St. Cloud. Bruce Taylor will join us on Wednesday afternoon, as the conference recognizes my retirement!

Please pray for us and for the whole assembly as we meet in person for the first time since 2019. We will vote to allow three congregations to disaffiliate with the United Methodist Church, and we grieve this separation. But God is not done with us yet, nor is God done with the United Methodist Church as a whole. Be in prayer that we might extend grace and comfort to one another, even as we discover what is next.
