From the Pastor's Desk 6/3/2022

This is it, my final message to you as your pastor. So much has happened in the past two years, it's hard to remember how things were in 2020, when we began this adventure of transition together. I know I've grown. I hope you have, too. And I hope we will continue to grow more and more into the Christians we are called to be. Know that I will be praying for you and Pastor Deb as you set out on the next stage of your journey, learning together what it means to be the church in a community hungry for God.

I hope you can worship with us on Sunday, either in person or remotely. It will be a very full day of celebration - after all, it is Pentecost (wear something RED)!

We honor Kera Palmer and Joshua Venenga as they graduate from high school. We commission our mission trip team as they prepare to set out.

We celebrate Holy Communion together one last time, and it will be an honor to place the Bread of Life into your hands as Bruce offers you the Cup of Salvation. Then we will have a few words of farewell, and I will ask you to participate in a benediction that I used on my very first Sunday with you.

You'll want to greet the graduates down in Fellowship Hall (they will each have a basket for cards) and grab a root beer float or cup of coffee to go with the cookies Staff Parish Relations are offering as my send-off treat (there will be another basket for cards there, too!). Let's celebrate the goodness of the Lord and all the ways we've experienced it together. One last time, I'll see you in church, Church! - Pastor Jo Anne
